Overview

For the past 3,336 years, soferi ST”M (scribes of sacred texts) have relied on human proofreaders to ensure the accuracy and sanctity of their work. This traditional process,while integral to maintaining the highest standards, is costly,
often inaccessible on demand, and prone to human error. Recognizing these challenges, we have developed
a comprehensive, responsive system designed to streamline the proofreading process for soferi ST”M.

The Vision-

Is to make the traditional proofreading process for soferi ST”M accessible and efficient through advanced technology, reducing costs and minimizing errors, and making it simple and effective for every user, anytime and anywhere.

The reduction percentage in errors after using the system compared to the traditional manual process and other software solutions.

Measurement of the amount of time users save due to the system’s implementation compared
to previous methods.

Usage Frequency and Active User Count:

The number of times users access and utilize the system on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, along with the count of soferi ST”M, proofreaders, agents, and individual users who regularly use the system.

User Satisfaction:

Survey results and feedback
from users regarding their overall satisfaction with the system, focusing on ease of use, design, and navigation.

Research

The research approach focused on understanding the needs, pain points, and expectations of soferi ST”M, proofreaders, agents, and individual users. We conducted in-depth interviews, online surveys, and observational studies of existing workflows. Additionally, we analyzed feedback from current users to identify common issues and areas for improvement. This comprehensive approach allowed us to gather valuable insights and develop a user-centered solution to address the identified challenges.

Conclusions

After conducting an in-depth analysis, we identified several key issues with the current platforms:

1. Expensive: The services offered by the platforms are often expensive, which limits their accessibility to a wider audience and makes them less viable for users with budget constraints.

2. Inaccessibility: The platforms are not user-friendly or easily accessible, creating usability challenges, especially for non-tech-savvy users.

3. Inaccuracy: The accuracy of the results, especially in areas like OCR and proofreading, is often lower. This leads to errors and inefficiencies, and reduces the overall effectiveness of the platforms.

Solution

The solution is advanced OCR technology that provides accurate and reliable results. This ensures that users can scan and proofread STAM documents from anywhere, using any device, and receive detailed and accurate reports. The system is economical and user-friendly, and this technology makes quality document processing accessible to the general public.

The Dashboard

The design of the STAM Scanner dashboard offers a clean and modern interface, with a focus on simplicity and user-friendly navigation. The layout provides clear access to key actions such as new scans and folder management, ensuring a smooth user experience acros both desktop and mobile devices.

Scan Upload

The scan upload flow offers intuitive options like rotate, delete, and crop for quick adjustments. The clear layout provides immediate feedback, allowing users to easily review and approve their scans before finalizing.

Crop

The crop popup ensures the efficiency and accuracy of the scan by allowing precise adjustments, making it an essential step for optimal scan analysis.

Save Scans

While the system processes the scans, users are prompted to name and save their scans in the appropriate folder. This effectively utilizes idle time, ensuring the scans are organized and ready for future access without any delay.

Progress Bar

The progress bar moves in sync with the scan processing, providing users with a clear visual indication of the current status and how close the process is to completion.

Error Filtering

Once the system finishes processing the scans, the user is directed to the error filtering page. Here, the user reviews all detected errors, decides whether to include them in the final report, and has the option to add or remove errors. Finally, the user can export the summary report in the desired format.

Scans Page

The scan page displays all uploaded scans with the option to switch between different viewing modes, such as grid view or list view, for easier navigation and organization of the scans.

Side Panel

The statistics side panel displays the status of the scans, provides insights into the current state of the folder, and offers a quick option to proceed directly to error filtering.

Profile

The profile management page allows users to view and update all personal details, including their specialization, contact information, and profile picture, providing full control over their account settings.

Contact

The contact page allows users to submit inquiries easily, a detailed message for support or further assistance.

Packages

The account management page offers clear, color-coded package options with scan counts and discounts, allowing easy comparison. Real-time usage data at the bottom shows scans used and remaining, ensuring transparency and efficient management. There's also an option to contact support for custom adjustments.

Payment

The payment page allows users to seamlessly switch between different currencies with a clear dropdown menu, ensuring flexibility in payment options. It also includes a field for entering a coupon code, providing an easy way to apply discounts before finalizing the transaction.
